Living in America is a pattern for mittens with vertical stripes and bobbles. I designed these mittens for a friend. She just needed to have mittens with USA flag when she saw the Johnny Rotten mittens with Union Jack. As I couldn’t fit any stars on the pattern I desided to replace them with bobbles.

The size can be adjusted according to the yarn and needle size. Mittens are worked stranded, so be careful not to pull the not-working yarns too tight while knitting!

The yarn used for these mittens is Gjestal’s Maija, colors are blue (210), red (204) and white (202). You’ll need two skeins of white and one skein of blue and red.
